100+ Free CEUs, Trainings and More!
If it's on this page --- it's FREE!
Many different modalitites are included from DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, PICT, ACT & more! It is a great way to try out a model or modality to see if it resonates with you. Remember also that just because it is in a training doesn’t mean it is gospel: keep your critical thinking sharp.
This page includes all the free trainings currently aggregated by this site. If you would like to request to add your upcoming training please fill out the form below. Additionally, if you have found a training that is free and want to share this bounty with your fellow therapists please also click the button. Thank you to all of you who are adding these free trainings, and a big hand to all of those who are creating these wonderful free resources.
Also, if you’re in practicum remember that (at least in CA) you can discuss trainings with your supervisior to see if you are able to count a specific training for your hours. Here’s to the jouney to licensure—3000 hours here we come!
Remember to keep records of your trainings, certificates of completion etc. for the BBS.
List of 100+ Free CEUs below!
Links of free CEUs, webinars & trainings!
This list is updated continuously, so check back for new listings & follow me @therapygradschool for the most current offerings.
There are so many options: CBT, ACT, PCIT, Gottman, EFT, EMDR, DBT, Narrative, Ethics and more! I highly recommend taking the time to investigate different modalities and see what resonates for you.
Reminders:
- Document & save your confirmation information & maintain records
- Speak with your supervisor first if you want to count it towards non-clinical training requirements
- Know your numbers re: non-clinical hours requirements and maximums
- If licensed: check to see if the CEU is approved by your licensing board
**I try to keep this list updated, but please let me know via comment if a link is broken etc.
Please contribute via the buymeacoffee link in the corner–creating & maintaing a site is expensive! 🙂

Email Lists with Frequent Free Offerings
These are great email lists to get on for free trainings and events
As a note: you will get many emails from these services offering to sell thier products. That’s how they can afford to offer freebies to the rest of us. If the prospect overwhelms you, just follow @thearpygradschool to be notified when these trainings are on offer.
If you want to be up to date on free trainings I recommend signing up for the PESI emails. They will inundate you with emails, and sales, but they also have great in-depth *multi-hour, and sometimes multi-day) free trainings that they do. They also offer a 14 day video replay for those who can’t make it live, as well as a transcript and all the handouts in PDF. Even though they do email so often, I have found them to be an invaluable resource for trainings. Or, you can always subscribe to this page for updates if your email is already too unwieldy.

The other site I would recommend for lots of free CEU’s is TPN Health. They have a library of free trainings, and are always creating more. They have a broad focus, and are concentrated on mainly 1 hour CEUs.

Clearly Clinical: podcasts that are free to listen to for anyone, and if you would like to pay for CEU credit hours you can. They also have the following free CEUs available.

- Make a list of your top 5 trainings you’d like to do, and then set out making a plan on which to do first. Even 30 minutes a week will get you closer to your goals.
- Give yourself a break! These are all optional and can be done at your leisure. Graduate school is tough, you don’t need any of these trainings to be a good therapist.
- If you are interested in more free trainings: check out your local professional organization (CAMFT for CA MFTs) to find additional trainings as well as a whole host of other benefits.
- Know of a free training not listed here? Please fill out the google form so that it can be added.
Questions:
- What is the difference between a CE and a CEU and a training?
For the purposes of this website CE and CEU mean the same thing. The governing body of one’s license requires a specific number of credit hours to maintain the license. Some trainings offer certificates stating how many of these hours a specific training is worth in the form of a CEU/CE certificate. Not all trainings offer these certificates, and not all CE/CEUs are accepted by all boards. If you are pre-licensed and you attend a training that offers a certificate, just add it to your records.
This site is in progress!

Great resource! Sharing currently with my cohort and supervision group! I’m sure you’ll get to it but maybe adding an email list so we can get updates when new trainings are added? Thanks for the freebies– I sent you a coffee!
